———  COMMON QUESTIONS

Things people
often ask.

If your question isn't here, you're welcome to ask through the contact form.

Do I need a Mental Health Care Plan to book? No. A Mental Health Care Plan isn't required. If you have one, Medicare rebates may be available — but plenty of clients see me privately, without a plan.

How do I know if therapy is right for me? A common starting point is feeling that something isn't quite working — even if you can't fully name it yet. You don't need to have it figured out before reaching out. We can talk it through at enquiry stage.

What happens in the first session? The first session is mostly about getting a sense of what's been happening, what's brought you in, and what you'd like to work on. There's no pressure to share more than you're ready to.

Do you offer telehealth? Yes. Sessions are available via secure video link. Telehealth works well for many people — particularly those outside Sydney or with limited availability for travel.

How long does therapy usually take? It varies. Some people come for a few months around a specific issue; others stay longer to work through deeper patterns. We review together regularly so you have a clear sense of progress.

Do you accept NDIS or WorkCover referrals? Yes — self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants are welcome, and I'm an approved provider for SIRA-funded services. Please mention this in your enquiry.

Is what I share kept confidential? Yes. Sessions are confidential within the limits of Australian law and professional ethics. These limits are explained at the start of our work together.

What if I need to cancel a session? A minimum of 48 hours' notice is appreciated. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice are charged at the full session fee.
